The structural building frame consists of three main members, a vertical girder (2), a sloping cross beam (1) and a top roof truss (3), which connects at the topmost point with a similar assembly of members on the other side of the building. The vertical girder is built up on a flat base plate and has an internal channel section (5) on one side and a round section tube (6), typically a gas pipe, on the outer side. Similar tubes form the outer components of the two other main members. The inner components of these (4) are also channel sections. Each member is stiffened by diagonal cross staves of 34" or 1" diameter tube.
