The prefabricated floor or ceiling tile (10) is a truncated pyramid shape with rectangular base and four sides (11, 12, 13, 14) in the shape of an isosceles trapezium. The upper surface (15) is flat and is enclosed by a rimmed edge (16) which protrudes sideways. The base is surrounded by a flat projecting base-piece (17) jutting out at the sides, rectangular in shape. A projection (20) all round the edge of the tile consists of a side piece (21) which is an extention of the adjacent side (11), and of an upper piece (22) extending below the rimmed edge (16) parallel to the base (17). There is a second side piece bordering on the other end of the side (12) and the base (17). Similar projections (30, 40) are positioned on the sides (13, 14) of the tile (10), which is made of reinforced concrete.
