Several presses are arranged along the support to be manufactured, each comprising a vertically extending carrier against which abuts a hydraulic device which exerts a pull on cross bars mounted removably on the wood layers to press the cross bars against the carrier. Each press comprises two vertical frames (9, 10) for retaining the wood layers, one of which is connected to the press while the other rests on the upper edge of the wood layers. One frame (9) is double with a U-shaped configuration (11), and the other is disposed inside it and has a rectangular cross-section. Between the base of the U-shaped configuration and the movable frame is a tube (13) which can be inflated with air.
