摘要
The method of measuring the magnetic susceptibility of the ground involves measuring an electrical signal emitted by a detection coil (19) placed between two AC windings (18a, 18b) connected in series and phase-opposed. The resultant flux in the coil is nul when the coil and the two windings are at a distance from any object, whether para-, dia-, or ferromagnetic in character. However, when these components are near such an object, the flux has a value and sign which depend on the object's characteristics. The coil and windings are placed within a sensor body. The detection coil (19) forms an arm in a mutual inductance measurement bridge. The windings (18a, 18b) are excited by a constant amplitude AC voltage at a frequency of about 18kHz.
