The fruit harvesting machine comprises an attachment, fitted to a rotary cultivator (3) and powered from its engine (16, 17) having a frame (1) bolted to its front (2). This frame carries a shaft (5) on which is fixed a multiple screw flight (6, 7, 8). Over this is a large helical spring (9), with its coils held elastically at each end of the frame. The fruit or nuts are picked up between the coils and moved to one end by the screw flight. They fall onto a conveyor, comprising a number of slats (13) mounted perpendicularly on a belt (12). The fruit or nuts move upwards and fall down a chute (20) into a bin (21).
