A copying device in the path copy paper transfers to it a mechanical copy. It comprises a control circuit with a switch (24) controlling a certain period of the copy paper feeding system (18) a second control device (25) in the path of the copy paper, operated by the paper sheet passage during the first switch (24) operation; and an alarm device which signals that a sheet of paper has not reached the second control switch. It operates after the end of the period during which the first switch (24) is operated, signalling end of paper supply or blocking of copy paper path by a sheet of paper.
