Received echo pulses are allocated to corresponding reflecting objects. When a pulse is sent out, clock controlled counters are started, and when a pulse comes in, a counter is stopped, and the next counter is released. The amplitude of each received pulse is stored in a sample hold device allocated to the corresponding counter. Relative speeds of the objects are derived from the stored amplitudes, and their distance is derived from the counter readings. Both are displayed.
