A system for teaching and display consists of a daylight type overhead style projector and a motor driven, height adjustable projection screen or wall. The latter is in the form of a rigid blackboard device having a surface coating which may be written upon like a conventional black board. The elevation of the blackboard or projection screen is linked to the positioning of the deflector mirror of the projector device, so that the projected image remains accurately located and focused upon the screen.
