A sound film camera has a sound recording device which is switched on or engaged by the internal drive of the camera itself. Sound switching is controlled by a centrifugal coupling device powered by the motor of the camera. A motor (23) powers the centrifugal force coupling of the system by means of a sound system drive shaft (20). The centrifugal coupling is seated upon the drive shaft stub end (33). Components (19) of the sound recording system are mounted on a movable support (14) which has its position controlled by the operative centrifugal forces.
