Semi-automatic design procedure for logic networks - uses computerised final design stage in which formalised code is adopted to produce final logic diagram
The semi-automated design procedure is for certain types of electronic network, particularly logic networks, in which the final specification of the network including its component parts, is done by a computer program. The design procedure consists of three distinct stages. The first entails a flow diagram which describes informally what the network is required to do. A second, formal flow diagram is then constructed using a number of standard symbols to describe timing or clocking points, registers, feedback loops and so on. This is listed in a formalized code and fed to the computer which produces a final logic diagram complete with element specification and interconnections.
