The switching system is for stepped setting of different values of alternating voltage with high precision and covering a range of at least two decades. It contains an inductive divides whose turns are provided with ten tapping points for picking off various values of voltage. When all the output voltages are connected in series this will produce a voltage sum. The position of the switching elements will indicate the value of the sum. From the second decade onwards all outputs are fed through additional transformers with ratios of ten and hundred to one etc. There are as many inductive dividers (1a-n) as decades all connected to the same supply source.
