Water purifying unit has a main section contg. a floatation cell into the top of which the water is sprayed through a horizontal nozzle. Alongside and at a lower level is a flocculation cell housing a perforated cylinder which is rotated about a horizontal axis. On the opposite side of this cylinder to the spray is the receiving compartment. A settling tank alongside the main section carries a pH meter. The drive motor for the perforated cylinder is in line with it, mounted outside. The main section is compact and has sloping upper portions for easy installation. The horizontally rotating perforated cylinder forms less foam and scum than a vertical cylinder and gives a better and faster mixing action.
