1418609 Unsaturated nitrogen and/or sulphur-containing silanes (ZAIDANHOJIN) SAGAMI CHEMICAL RESEARCH CENTER 2 July 1974 [3 July 1973 14 Aug 1973] 29274/74 Heading C3S Unsaturated silanes containing N and/or S atoms are prepared by reaction of an acetylenic compound with the corresponding hydrogen silane i.p.o. chloroplatinic acid and/or a rhodium complex. A number of suitable starting silanes and rhodium catalysts are listed. In the examples (pyrrolidino- or phenylthio) di(ethyl or phenyl) silane is reacted in 1: 1 molar ratio with hexyne or (the diethyl silanes only) phenylacetylene; the catalysts used are (Ph 3 P) 3 RhCl, (Bu 3 P) 3 RhCl, (Ph 3 P) 3 RhBr, or bis-(phenyl benzyl methyl phosphine) (1,5-cyclooctadiene)- chlororhodium alone or in benzene, or H 2 PtCl 6 in isopropanol.
