The space frame used in erecting floors, ceilings, partition walls, etc is in the form of a grid with square meshes offset at an angle of 45 deg., one in relation to another and joined by inclined bars. It consists of individual flat units which are easy to manufacture, transport and assemble. There are two different types of units, one having a frame with connection pieces at each of its apices, the other having an elongated member with an assembly piece at each end and inclined bars joined at one end to the elongated member and linking up two by two at the other end onto a connection piece.
