Epoxy gp-contg. polymerisable cpds. - prepd. from epoxy and hydroxyl gp-contg. cpds. and N-alkylolamides of olefinically unsatd mono or dicarboxylic acids
Epoxide gp-contg. polymerisable olefinically unsatd. cpds. esp. for prodn. of copolymers and graft copolymers, useful as coatings, impregnating agents, adhesives, insulating-, packing-and casting compsns. and workable raw materials, are prepd. by reacting (a) =1 cpd. (I) contg., per moleule, an epoxide gp., =1 OH gp. and =1 grouping of formula -O-X1-CR1R2-X2-O- or -O-X1-CO-X2-O- (where R1 and R2 are H or 1-2C alkyl, and X1 and X2 are opt. substd. aromatic gps.) with (b) =1 N-alkylolamide (II) of an olefinically unsatd. mono- or dicarboxylic acid, in which N-alkylol gp. is opt. esterified with a 2-8C carboxylic acid, in presence of acid catalysts at 20-180 degrees C.
