The window lintel, produced as a complete prefabricated component of reinforced concrete, is for fitting at ceiling height above a roller shutter case, and it incorporates a full-length sheathing and reinforcing projection in one piece with it, which gives it an L-shaped cross-section. The concrete surface of the L shank is flat and serves as a seating for the ceiling. The lintel, which is especially suitable for spanning wide stretches between 2 and 5 m, also has a reinforcing mesh cast in with it, projecting in the angular space between the L shanks for connection with the concrete in the ceiling. It may be cast on to a completed roller shutter case overlapping it on the front for the statically requisite seating.
