Insect-resistant (esp. termite-resistant) plaster board contg 50 (pref. 70) wt % of set gypsum, opt. together with paper pulp, glass fibres, glass fabric and/or other additives, is produced by adding 0.005-5 (pref. 0.01-1) wt %, based on the dry wt. of settable substances, of an oil-soluble insecticide (esp. termiticide) in the form of an emulsion or dispersion, prepd. with the aid of a dispersing or emulsifying agent and/or an organic solvent, in the make-up water used to prepare the settable plaster compsn. The insecticide is well dispersed throughout the plaster board and is slowly released therefrom.
