The machine has a keyboard with keys operating different characters, either capitals or lower case, dependent on the shift key position. The vowels are contained in groups of two keys, the first in the first line and the second in the second line and below the first. The vowels in their rows are separated by groups of two or more consonants. The keyboard is generally conventional and there are preferably three groups of vowels. The keyboard may be used for any typing or printing machine.
