The clock-pulse controlled sinewave function generator has a first binary input sequence applied to a first divider (11) which controls a first frequency synthesiser (12). A second binary input sequence is applied to a second divider (21) which controls a second frequency synthesiser (21). A pulse generator (1) feeds both frequency synthesisers to give two output frequencies. The first synthesiser output frequency controls the second divider (count forward) whilst the second synthesiser output controls the first divider (count backwards). The outputs of the two dividers produce the two output sinewave functions.
