Denture base materials with improved mechanical properties, esp. flexural strength, contain a sequenced copolymer of methyl methacrylate and a conjugated diene such as polybutadiene or polysoprene. The copolymers are generally made in fine powder form and mixed with standard polymethylmethacrylate denture base material, which is then swollen with methylmethacrylate and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate monomer and moulded into a denture using plaster moulds in the known way.
