Machine for tying flower-sprays - consists of a plate on which cut lengths of greenery are laid on layers around a frame, with ring and spools
A cutter for the greenery has, above it, a suction device connected to a compressor or fan and which can be lowered onto the frame. The suction device can be moved to occupy a position corresponding to the circumference of the frame; parallel to the diameter, and at right angles to the position of the cut greenery. A tie ring surrounds the frame and the suction device has a rectangular cross-section. A motor rotates the frame on its centre axis in steps. A device with gripper arms is hinged to one side surface of the suction device and has an edge corresponding to the cross-section of the frame. The grip device can be flapped back into a resting position near the lower edges of the suction device, and can be lowered over the frame with slight pressure. The motors for driving the compressor, fan or valve for the movements of the suction device, grips, the rotational movements of the frame and tie-ring are connected in the control circuit.
