Protective glasses (spectacles) to provide protection against solid and liquid particles and also against harmful radiation with interchangeable safety window shields have frames which have a top slit to allow insertion of alternative safety window shields are seen to be doubled for each eye, and only one of them is removable so that combinations to protect against various forms of danger are possible. Each half of the frme is split at a horizontal plane lying approximately one third from the top, a closing action being obtained via a turning bolt on the outside of the frame.
