Monocular reflex camera for endoscopy applications embodies one or more partially transparent prisms (1, 2) in the beam path which have the function of directing a diverted beam to one or more observation eyepieces (3, 4). This enables a number of observers to view the picture at once. Preferably the prisms specified can be slid (7, 6) out of the beam path just before the exposure. The deflected beam path should contain a number of mirrors (5), or again two of the partly transparent prisms can be formed into a single unit. Where a camera with swing mirror is used, the seeker prism (1) is partially transparent so that the admitted pencil beam strikes a second prism or mirror and is thus diverted to the observer eyepiece.
