A device for clamping two plastics sheets or plates in a deep-drawing machine, is intended esp. for adapting single plate deep-drawing machine to enable two plates to be deep-drawn. An additional intermediate frame is movably mounted in the (upper) pivoting or moving frame of the press; the intermediate frame has upper and lower sealing strips against which the two plastics plates bear so that an air cushion is formed between them. The (lower) fixed frame of the (conventional) machine is pref. adapted by the fitting of an inner base-frame which thus forms a new mouth to the blowing chest, while a corresp. inner frame is fitted into the upper pivoting or moving frame; the intermediate frame with the upper and lower seals is then pivotally mounted on this inner frame.
