The heat reflecting surfaces of the car, such as the top of the dashboard, and the rear parcel shelf are provided with a pattern of triangular, moulded reflectors to reflect light and heat back out of the windows. The reflectors can be produced by moulding a metal covered foil and rolling, or folding it for easy storage. In sunny weather the foil is unrolled and placed over the respective surfaces, from where heat is usually reflected over the faces of the car occupants. The rear of the foil is blackened, or forms part of a cover when rolled.
