The main patent describes a clamp formed from a U section strap fitting around one member and being secured to the other by a key wedged through matching holes in the strap and tube. The additional patent covers the preparation of the end of the tube by diametrically opposed elongated holes a short distance from the end and joined to it by slots so that the ends of the tube can be bent outwards at right angles in the form of a T to match the other tube and so provide a rigid joint resistant to bending.
