The towel holder is an L-shaped rod with legs unequal in length, with a square flange welded or soldered to the end of the short leg. The wash basin wall has a square hole, slightly larger than the square flange and this hole communicates with a larger recess within the wall. The towel holder flange is pushed through the square hole and then rotated through 45 deg. It is retained in this position by a locking bush enclosed by a rubber bush which fits closely in the square hole. The rubber bush has a flange which is compressed by a nut engaging on the thread provided on the short leg.
