The fuel atomiser for gas turbines has a tubular air supply channel whose downstream end has a swirler with blades inclined to the tube longitudinal axis. These blades contain fuel channels whose outlets in the blades are at right angles to the air flow. The flow is separated from the blades at the upstream edge of th blades. The fuel channels are arranged close to the downstream edge of the swirler blades and the outlet channels are arranged on the pressure side of the blades. The fuel channels within the blades are connected to an annular channel which is coaxial with the central air channel. This arrangement ensures efficient atomising of the fuel over a wide range of fuel pressures and air flow rates.
