The e.g., wooden post has layers of plastic which can have one or more reflectors on each layer. The layers can be peeled off one after the other to provide different patterns of reflectors. The post can alternatively be manufactured from tubes of shrink foil which are shrunk one on the other. Each tube of shrink foil is provided with a wire which cuts the tube through when it is pulled along the post, so that the layers are easy to remove. The layers e.g., ten are each approx. 0.5 mm thick.
