Performance of impulse separator for liq. jet ejector gas pump improved by placing metal mesh or screen on liquid surface in disentrainment vessel. The mesh apertures should by up to 10 times the mean droplet diameter and the mesh should be located at a distance equal to the diameter of the diffuser outlet directly below this outlet. The pressure difference between the diffuser outlet and the mesh should be negligible.
