Car floor mat washing machine has situated after the washing assembly, a pair of squeegee rollers associated with a further roller to deflect the dry mat to the machine outlet, one of the rollers being mounted on a bell crank lever for resilient biasing against the other squeegee roller so that max. water can be expressed out of the mat irrespective of its thickness. One end of the lever is pivoted on shaft carrying the further roller and the other is connected to a spring whose other end is attached to machine housing.
