Twisting ferrule journalled in contactless manner by magnetic bias whic constrains it against axial displacement and forces it radially into contact with driving rollers, is prevented from overheating by reducing the eddy current formation in the magnet through reducing the air gap and increasing the cross-sectional area of the gap, the magnet being formed by a core having a roof-shaped end facing the ferrule and a housing completely surrounding the core and having a complementary roof-shaped end, the ends conforming to the periphery of the ferrule. The space between the core and the inner wall of the housing is filled with a synthetic resin or brass plates.
