Compounds with the general formula:- CnF2n+1-CO-NR-O-CO-CR1 = CH2 (I) where n = 1 - 18, R is hydrogen or C1-6 alkyl and R1 is hydrogen or CH3 are (co)polymeris
Compounds with the general formula:- CnF2n+1-CO-NR-O-CO-CR1 = CH2 (I) where n = 1 - 18, R is hydrogen or C1-6 alkyl and R1 is hydrogen or CH3 are (co)polymerised. The (co)polymers are very resistant to hydrolysis. The (co)polymers are useful for treating textiles, paper, leather, painted wood and metal surfaces. Treated textiles are resistant to washing, dry cleaning, rubbing and wrinkling, in both the wet and dry states, and have long-lasting oil and water-repellency.
