A lamb adopter and sheep holder comprises a central compartment A for accommodating a ewe and confining her head and side enclosures C, D for each of two lambs. The central compartment A comprises side rails 2, a rear gate 22 and a wooden floor mounted on a frame 1 and is separated from a front compartment for the ewe's head by vertical yoke bars 8 from which side baffles 10 extend. A cross-bar 4 is adjustably fixed across the rear of the central compartment according to the length of the ewe. A pivotal drawer 16 containing food and water is accommodated in the lower part of the head compartment. A lamb enclosure C, D is removably mounted on each side of the central compartment. The head compartment has a removable lid 30 and the central compartment and lamb enclosures have a common curved roof which is made in two sections 34A, 34B. The forward end of the device has lugs 17 and stub pivots 20 for connection to a tractor.
