Class 97(3) A device for use in the graphical study of electrical power systems comprises a chain of graduated scales 1, articulated for movement in a plane, each scale consisting of two portions which slide one within the other, whereby the length of the scale may be varied. The length of each scale 1 may be fixed, after adjustment, by means of screw 2, and the angle between scales 1 measured by a protractor 4 at each joint which may be integral with an auxiliary scale 3. The joints may be locked by screws 5, and a pin 7 passing centrally through each joint may be driven into the supporting board. The device is intended for use in a particular graphical method of solving electrical power problems which is described and special graphs are employed.
