[Also in Group IX] Relates to weighing apparatus in which a lap to:be weighed is placed on a goods pan a, Fig. 1, and balanced against a standard lap in an open mesh container a manually-operated shutter revealing, the indicator, and consists in the manually-operated shutter selecting a counting mechanism through one of three circuits. On pressing inwardly a lever g, Figs. 1, 3, an arm o, Figs. 2, 3, rotating with indicating disc m is pressed against one of three contacts p, pSP1/SP, pSP2/SP corresponding to correct, under- and overweight; a counter j, Fig. 1, is thereby actuated to record the number of laps in each category, while one of the indicator: lamps f is also lit. The counter is reset by closure of a contact q, Fig. 3, when the lap is removed from pan a. After lever g has been pressed inwardly it may be rotated to rotate cam gSP2/SP, Fig. 2, to actuate lever kSP1/SP, kSP2/SP and remove a shutter k from the window d to allow the pointer mSP1/SP to be seen.
