Classes 79(i), 79(ii) and 79(iv) In a four-wheel drive agricultural tractor of the type having a rear driven axle rigidly mounted on the frame and a front driven axle pivotally mounted so that it can rock about the axes of the common transmission shaft, the front axle pivotal mounting comprises an annular cylindrical body fixed rigidly to the differential casing co-axially with the transmission shaft, the cylindrical body being rotatably mounted in bushes carried in an annular support fixed to the frame. As shown, power is transmitted through gears 3, 4, 5 to a common transmission shaft 6 and thence to a rear differential 7 and front differential 8. Fig. 2 shows the pivotal mounting of the front axle. The differential casing 8 has bolted thereto a cylinder 11 which rotates in bushes 12, 13 in an annular support 14 secured to the frame member 15. A retaining plate 17 is bolted to the end of cylinder 11.
