528,379. Shop counters. FOULKES, T. E. Feb. 25, 1939, No. 6271. [Class 116] A shop or like counter is formed with its longitudinal vertical faces of zig-zag form in plan, in order to provide an increased area within a given distance and also to provide recesses in which customers may stand without encroaching on the passage ways. Fig 2 indicates a store having walls 2 on three sides and display windows 3 and doors 4 on the fourth side. Storage cabinets of the kind described in Specification 470,516 are arranged along the walls 2 and as shown at 16 and 17 along the middle of the store. The zig-zag counters 14 are arranged in front of the cabinets also the side walls and around the centre cabinets. Another form of counter 12, 13 is shown in front of the cabinets along the end wall. Specifications 484,542, 499,233, [both in Group X], also are referred to.
