Stationary-mould machines; moulds; pressing plungers and dies. - Bricks, having four V- shaped frogs b and a central orifice a, as shown in Fig. 1, or having a deep recess C, Fig. 7, and a large shallow frog d, are made from granular material in a pressing-machine having top and bottom vertically-acting pressing plungers f1, g1, Fig. 13, and a fixed central core k carried by a cross-bar l mounted in a slot in the lower plunger. The core forms a guide for both plungers and also forms an annular recess in the mould into which pulverized moist clay falls by gravity when delivered by a reciprocating feed carriage (not shown). The plungers are caused to approach and recede from one another by mechanism (not shown).
