Reinforced concrete.-A machine for positioning and tensioning metal bars or fabric reinforcement for roads and structures comprises one or more flanged beams c with slots c2 in which the bars are laid, and trolleys a carrying the beams and provided with vertically adjustable blocks e which bear on clamping plates c3 and are actuated by screws e1 in a frame d. The frame d is also adjustable vertically in a box f by a screw h to position the reinforcement, and the box f is adjustable horizontally by a screw g. An independent slotted beam and clamping plate may be secured to the ground or structure at the remote end of the reinforcement, which may then be tensioned by the screw g. A single trolley may be used from which the beam c is supported as a cantilever.
