摘要
124,923. Livesey, R. C., and Haworth, J. T. April 20, 1918. Yarns, beaming.-Relates to the motion for driving the warp beams of yarn-sizing or slasher sizing machines by which a gradually increasing pressure is applied to the friction driving clutches of the warp beams, as the latter increase in diameter consequent upon the winding of the yam thereon, and in which the pressure-applying mechanism comprises a transverse lever connected to the press motion shaft by a connecting-rod adjustable in length and a cam or eccentric lever controlled thereby operates upon a lever by which friction is applied to the friction driving clutch. The pressure lever comprises two members D, E, pivoted together at d and adjustable by means of the screw e, the end of the member E bearing against an adjustable inclined block b fitted to the friction lever B of the clutch A. A bolt e1 holds the member E in adjusted position. As shown in Fig. 2, the free end of the lever D is inclined, or carries an adjustable inclined surface F, and is actuated by a cam G, chain-wheel G', and chain H connected by a rod h to the press motion shaft H1. The cam G is fitted with a ratchet wheel g to prevent reverse motion. In the modification shown in Fig. 3, the end of the lever D is connected to the press motion shaft by a spring coupling K adjustable by the screw k.
