Teaching rifle-shooting.-Relates to card devices for teaching the correct position of the sights with respect to the target, and consists in the combination of a backboard having thereon two targets, two slips representing the sights movably mounted on the board, and an indicator, such as a transparent strip with a mark thereon, for showing on the second target where the shot would hit. In the construction shown in Figs. 1, 3, and 4, the cardboard back 1, Fig. 1, has on it two targets 10, 11, and is formed with vertical slots 6, 7, 8, 9, in which strips 15, Figs. 3, and 17, Fig. 4, representing the backsight and foresight respectively, are adjustably mounted. The indicator consists of a strip of celluloid 19 fixed to the foresight strip 17 and marked with a spot 20 which indicates on the upper target 11 the position; of the shot. A strip 23, Fig. 2, having targets 24 of a different shape may be mounted on the backboard by means of transverse slots 2, 3, 4, 5.
