Factory and like timerecorders; card - type; inking - arrangements; driving type - wheels from clock.-The clockwork of workmen's timerecorders is driven electrically from a master clock and is provided with mechanism for actuating intermittently the date-wheels, cardpositioning device, and ribbon - shifting and other mechanism. A weighted, toothed sector B is lifted once every twelve hours by a snailcam b engaging a roller b1 mounted on the sector, a projection b2 being provided to engage the cam when the roller has been freed. Motion is conveyed from the sector to the various mechanisms through a shaft b5 on which is loosely mounted a spring-pressed pinion b' provided with a ratchettooth b10 adapted to engage a pin b11 on the shaft b5 upon the downward movement of the sector. Normally the shaft b5 is locked by a projection b16 on a spring-retracted arm b15 engaging a notched disk b18 secured to the shaft. A spring-controlled finger b13 carried by the sector serves, on striking a projection b14, to free the disk.
