19,309. Paddon, W. Aug. 23. Disk wheels; hubs. - Wheels of the type divided in a plane perpendicular to the axis into two parts a, b, Fig. 1, which are in driving connexion with each other through the medium of teeth or the like m on central bosses k, l, are mounted on sleeves c which are detachably secured to a driving disk e and from which the wheel parts are capable of separate detachment or the wheels may be removed from the axle in one part. The part a of the wheel and the sleeve may be secured to the driving disk by bolts f, the other part of the wheel being held by a nut g on the outer end of the sleeve. Or the bolts may be replaced by studs, the nut g serving to hold the parts of the wheel together and the whole wheel on the axle. The peripheral parts of the wheel may be held by light bolts p, or interengaging projections r, Fig. 3, or by both. A tyrecarrying rim may be detachably secured between the wheel parts.
