Metal - strip fastenings.-A fastening for ladies' blouses and dresses comprises two flexible strips a, b, Fig. 8, inserted removably in hems A, B formed in the edges of the garment. About midway between their ends, the strips have ear-pieces a1, b1 forming hooks which protrude from the hems through slits A', B' and engage with each other when the hems overlap. The ends are then fastened by glove fastenings c1, d1 and c2, d2. The hooks prevent the strips from separating in the direction of their own planes. In a modification, Fig. 9, the ear-pieces are so situated as to engage each with the body of the other strip. They may be made integral with the strips or may be separately constructed and then secured to the strips.
