Switches.-A rotary switch, specially applicable for controlling the electric lamps of motor cars, comprises a circular base 1, having fixed contacts 2 provided with wiring connexions so arranged as to establish circuit with single lamps or with groupings of lamps, and a rotary disk 9 carrying spring-controlled movable contacts, one of which 10a is adapted to make contact with one of the fixed contacts 2, while the other movable contacts 10 are adapted to make contact with one two, or four fixed contacts according to the position of the disk. The disk is held in the various positions by means of a tar wheel 13 mounted on the same spindle as the disk and a spring-controlled roller or pawl 14. A lever 16 is provided for switching in a dynamo with the accumulator. The various combinations of lamps controlled by the switch are shown in Fig. 1.
