Instruction apparatus. - For practising the reading of flash signals, a disk or cylinder marked with a Morse record in conductive dots and dashes is moved under a contact in the circuit of a glow-lamp: In the form shown in Fig. 1, the disk a is rotated under the wiper d by a worm h engaging a toothed wheel. The worm may be disengaged by swinging a pivoted arm q which carries one of the bearings r. The lamp f is mounted at the side of the base-box z. In another form, the conductive message is disposed helically on a rotary cylinder, which is geared to a screw for traversing the wiper laterally. The cylinder is divided into portions carrying different signals, and the wiper can be disengaged from the screw to transfer it quickly to another portion. Interchangeable message disks and cylinders may be provided. According to the Provisional Specification, there may be a second wiper engaging with pegs to give an audible click at the end of each letter.
