Exhibitions, scenic and spectacular. - To give the illusion of travelling in a balloon or air-ship, an annular basket or car F is rotated on rollers U, Fig. 2, on a ring K by a motor S and toothed wheels T, and is raised and lowered by wire ropes 0 passing round pulleys M, N, Q to a winch R. Scenery or enacted scenes are projected through the hollow basket on to an horizontal screen J by a kinematograph or other instrument located at the top of the structure, and scenery painted on a translucent cylinder H is illuminated by lights I within an opaque casing G supported by a framework A, B. The basket carries a rounded base E representing a balloon or air-ship. The roof principals are connected at their upper and lower ends by junction rings C, D. The screen J may be raised and lowered.
