12,820. Schlegel, C. June 7. Alarms, burglar and like.-Relates to a fastening for pockets, satchels, &c. combined with an alarm. The upper edge of a metal, leather, or other pocket &c. is provided with a frame in two parts d, d1, of which the part d' fits inside the part d and carries the spring catch c1 which secures the two together. The part d has a case e, containing a spring-pressed plunger i which is held in the position shown in Fig. 3 by the catch c'. When the catch is released, the plunger is driven forwards and strikes a detonating cap g1 contained in the screwed end g. o is a small lever, pivoted in the plunger i and working through a slot m, for re-setting the plunger or for preventing the plunger from exploding the cap.
