Building - blocks for ventilation; shafts. - Concrete ventilating - blocks a, Figs. 1 and 3, for walls, partitions, and the like, are connected together b y dovetailed plugs or distance-pieces b to form internal horizontal and vertical passages d for ventilating purposes. Grouting is run in grooves g on the edges. In a modification, shown in Figs. 6 and 7, the plugs b extend the full depth of the blocks, but are perforated to allow air to circulate. Fig. 8 shows the plugs formed in one with the blocks.
